The Challenge

Baileys, at the time the most loved spirit brand in a declining category wanted to reposition and unlock growth by stretching into the dynamic world of ‘real treating’ moments.

The Insight

A consumer deep dive, consisting of online self-ethnography and in-home immersions, showed brand love for Baileys was still strong, but that people lacked a sense of when and how to consume it.

Our Solution

We identified four ‘real treating’ spaces and highlighted behavioural hooks that Baileys could activate against. In one of the spaces,‘Sweet Finish At Home, we showed how to elevate the experience by priming people with creative ways to serve Bailey’s in these treat moments.

The Impact

Our insights led to a highly successful global communications campaign, which helped to create a reversal in Bailey's brand decline, with double digit growth achieved in some markets.
